#movingfleetsforward – under this motto, motum is revolutionizing the fleet industry. The intelligent operating system for operational fleet management serves as a digital daily assistant for all fleet managers. It enables seamless collaboration between fleet management, drivers, and service partners, ensuring that vehicles are always ready for use.
The Goal
motum engaged Contegy during a crucial growth phase focused on the (re)positioning of the company. At that point, the SaaS startup had developed its brand strategy, redefined its vision and mission, and refined its value proposition.
The objective was now to translate the brand's core identity into practical application, develop key messages, and translate them into concrete communication measures. This is where the collaboration with Contegy began.
The Project: Strategic Planning and Operational Guidance
Contegy has been supporting motum since March 2023 as a full-service agency, assisting the software company in its 360-degree communication strategy on strategic and operational levels — both for major campaigns and daily marketing activities.
Contegy provides support in the (further) development and implementation of the content strategy, content production, and management of social media channels. A particular highlight was the rebranding campaign in July 2023, where Contegy served as a strategic sparring partner, supporting the motum marketing team with targeted communication measures.
The emphasis is on building the brand and increasing its visibility. Since motum's software is a complex niche product, it's crucial to present its value in a way that resonates with the target audience. The goal is to position motum as a category leader in operational fleet management.

Strategic Consulting:
The foundation for targeted communication
- Strategy Workshop: In a collaborative workshop with key stakeholders (including the CEO, COO, and Marketing Manager), the foundation for the content strategy was laid. This session fostered a shared understanding of content marketing, refined motum’s positioning, and generated initial ideas for effectively engaging the target audience. Based on these discussions, Contegy developed a communication concept that considers the different target groups and personas and establishes key messages.
- Roadmap and Editorial Plan: Building on the workshop's outcomes, Contegy created a 12-month roadmap outlining specific campaigns and marketing activities. Additionally, a shared editorial plan was implemented using the online tool Coda, facilitating both content planning, coordination of tasks and approval processes.
From RepairFix to motum:
360-Degree Communication for Rebranding
motum wurde 2020 unter der Marke RepairFix gegründet – und positioniert sich seit Juli 2023 unter der Marke motum by RepairFix am Markt. Die Kommunikation des Rebrandings wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Contegy durchgeführt.
- 360-Degree Strategy: Alongside the announcement of the name change, motum successfully secured a new funding round with its primary investor, BASF Coatings. Contegy strategically planned and prepared the communication for both of these significant milestones. The goal was to reach all relevant target groups (employees, customers, partners, press, market participants, etc.) through various channels and formats.
- Communication Concept: The campaign was based on a communication concept developed by Contegy that outlined the core messages and served as the foundation for all subsequent activities. This ensured that all information was consistent and accurate.
- Implementation: Leading up to to the announcement, Contegy supported motum with content planning and production. This included filming videos with the founders, creating social media posts, and preparing press releases. On the day of the announcement, the Contegy team ensured that all information reached the intended stakeholders as planned and monitored and managed the reactions.

The Contegy Crew in Action
- Full-Service: Contegy provides operational support to motum for the implementation of all marketing and communication projects. Together with creative experts from the Contegy crew —ranging from video production and graphic design to copywriting — a variety of interdisciplinary projects have already been successfully executed. Project coordination was consistently handled by Contegy.
- Video Production: In April and June 2023, Contegy assisted motum with the production of interviews featuring industry experts, employees, and the founders of motum. Contegy was responsible for the conceptualization and handled the filming and post-production in collaboration with a videographer from the Contegy crew. The result was a series of videos in various lengths that can be utilized across all channels — from the website to social media.
- Graphic Design: Working alongside a designer from the Contegy crew, the corporate design was translated into templates for social media. These templates now serve as the foundation for motum’s social media presence.
- Copywriting: Contegy supports motum in creating content for all channels and formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, and social media posts. For the relaunch of the new website, all copy was crafted by Contegy.

Digital Communication:
Content Creation and Community Management
- Social Media Presence: Contegy manages the entire social media presence of motum, including the company’s LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube channels, as well as the personal accounts of the founders. Content is planned, created, and published according to an editorial calendar. Topic identification takes place in collaboration with the motum team. Approvals and coordination are seamlessly handled through Coda.
